Festival Project: Tiny Houseboat – Boat Hacking and Small Space Living

We’ll be running this project almost daily up until and including the festival.

Tiny homes are a great way to live sustainably, and maintain a low carbon footprint. What about a tiny houseboat?

We are building a tiny houseboat, which we hope can be as sustainable as possible, both in it’s use and construction. The main boat was made locally in Aswan in 25 days – in itself a feat of project management in Egypt. A small private space will be made from old timber, and pallets and we will plant a rooftop garden.

Other hacks we hope to make are a solar shower, solar powered motor, passive drip irrigation garden.

This will be an ongoing project, but to begin with we’ll explore considerations for living comfortably in small spaces and how to prototype your own living space.

Email or Text “Tiny Houseboat” to 0102 7890037 to help build our dream home, and learn how to think small and simple.
